Started 23 years ago, Personal Best Charity, Inc. is dedicated exclusively to fund activities to support and feed impoverished families in Southeastern Massachusetts; to award Good Citizen Scholarships to graduating seniors in the Personal Best Karate family; to support children wishing to study and train in martial arts programs where they will be provided guidance and discipline currently lacking in their lives; to provide support for victims of domestic abuse.
Our biggest annual event is a Thanksgiving food drive known as the Turkey Brigade! It’s hard to believe that right within the local community we live in we have neighbors who don’t have the means of enjoying a holiday meal. To date, Personal Best Charity has delivered over 30,000 meals to local families. What is unique about Personal Best Charity?
It’s not what we do, it’s the way we do it. Our goal is two fold: provide the meals and also give the experience of being of service. To this end, children and families from our six Personal Best Karate schools (Easton, Foxboro, Medfield, Norton, Norwood and Raynham) are intimately involved in the raising of funds, the manual labor of packaging the meals and the final stage of delivering the meals to the recipients.

Your generosity will make an incredible difference to so many children and families who would go without the normalcy and tradition of a Thanksgiving meal. Your support will help us change lives and build communities.
“As a recipient of the Turkey Brigade, I would personally like to thank you, all of the volunteers, and all of your sponsors for the Thanksgiving meal that my family will be enjoying on Thursday. As I’m sure you understand, times are tough around the holidays especially for everyone. The basket I received today ensures my family can keep tradition this thanksgiving and for a few days later. The entire brigade of volunteers follows one of my favorite Army Core Values, Selflessness. You are very honorable people and I can’t thank you enough.”
